Guys. You have NO IDEA how hard it's been to wait to share this recipe.
Well, really—the special ingredient IN this recipe, and it's brothers and sisters!
I've had the honor and pleasure of using Ancient Nutrition CBD products for approximately 4 months. And as much as I wanted to hook y'all up from day 1 (cause, DELICIOUS), I'm actually glad I couldn't.
Because to truly see if a product impacts your health in any way, you (typically) need to use it on a regular, consistent basis for months on end. I am always suspect of "overnight" product success, and I would caution you to be as well.
For the last 4 months, I've been using the Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Ultra almost every single day and the Cinnamon-Flavored CBD Hemp Oil 3-4x per week. The former I mix into my coffee or smoothies, the latter I take 30 minutes before bedtime.
I can honestly say I believe in these products and am so glad I had them while I was finishing my cookbook.
I'm officially hooked, and I'm overjoyed to offer YOU GUYS EARLY access to these products!
You've probably heard of CBD, short for cannabidiol, which is a molecule found in the hemp plant. However, not all CBD is created equally, by a longshot, and I would ONLY use/espouse a brand I absolutely trust. So I want to share some information directly from Ancient Nutrition, about how they created their products and what sets them apart:
"We’ve spent the last 4 years immersing ourselves in everything from genetics to growing to extracting to processing to formulation. Pursuing the ultimate possibilities of what hemp has to offer.
"...unlike CBD isolates, our full-spectrum and whole plant hemp ingredients feature not only CBD but may also feature trace amounts of cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabigerol (CBG) and terpenes...There is a name for the combined impact of all those cannabinoids: the Entourage Effect...That’s why full-spectrum hemp and whole plant hemp is so special, in our view."
"We were shocked to discover that very few companies offer USDA Certified Organic hemp products right now besides us...hemp is often more susceptible than many other plants to absorbing pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers that often accompany non-organic farming. That’s why we connected with three experienced, regenerative, multi-generation U.S. farmers who specialize in growing USDA Certified Organic hemp."
"Ancient Nutrition Organic CBD Hemp Features Fermented Hemp, a First of Its Kind and Something We’ve Seen No Other Company Offer to Consumers. We believe fermentation may positively affect the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other phytonutrients in our hemp...In fact, fermentation was so important to us that Jordan Rubin and I built our own in-house USDA Certified Organic fermentation, extraction, manufacturing and packaging facility in the U.S."
"Ancient Nutrition's Organic CBD Hemp is the Only Kind Blended with Historically Prized and/or Clinically-Studied Botanicals", such as Ashwagandha, turmeric, ginger, black pepper fruit oil and cinnamon..."No other CBD hemp products (to our knowledge)feature ANY of these botanicals. Meaning you will be among the first to experience them this way."
DANG. Right?! And that is just a fraction of the information shared on their CBD information page. I highly recommend taking some time to read through it all yourself! Plus, some of the CBD hemp products are specifically formulated with select botanical ingredients to help with different health goals, so it’s worth investigating what's right for YOU!
Ok, now onto this smoothie. Ohhhhh my gosh it is so yummy! I mean, duh, peanut butter makes everything good, but it's mostly due to the Multi Collagen Ultra, which has a Vanilla Chai flavor. I doctor it up with some extra vanilla and cinnamon but you could leave those out if you prefer not to deal.
I've been 'hiding' making this smoothie from y'all the past few weeks, but it has become my favorite "brunch" (I usually drink it around 10:30/11) or afternoon snack. With 3/4 cup riced cauliflower, you also get a punch of fiber and micronutrients.
Alright babes, HERE's the link to grab your own CBD goodness! I can't wait to hear what you think!
