Maple Pecan Pie Balls

More delicious than the classic Southern Pie, in almost completely raw, whole-foods form! These are a perfect dessert or portable snack that will satisfy a sweet tooth.
Servings 10 balls

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups raw pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups medjool dates pitted
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until ingredients are the texture of sand and you can pinch a small amount together and it will stick. Empty your dough into a bowl.
  • Fill a bowl with lukewarm water. Dip your fingers in the water and scoop out 2 roughly packed tablespoons of mixture. Roll dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place on a plate or in a Tupperware container, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before enjoying.
