Fruit Free Chocolate Green Smoothie |

This post is sponsored by The Quaker Oats Company, but all opinions are my own.
We’ve come to the end of my Quaker Oats-inspired recipes, and I’m so excited that y’all have loved my Chocolate Chip Crumble Oat Muffins, Caramel Apple Breakfast Pizzas and Fig Balsamic Vegan Holiday Loaf!
To round out or round-up, I thought I’d create something post-holiday-indulgence, New Year-inspired appropriate. A refreshing green smoothie sounded like just the ticket, but sometimes fruit-based smoothies make me crave sugar, especially when I’ve been eating more sugar than usual (a la the holidays). So instead of using banana as the base of this smoothie, I use Quaker Quick 1-Minute Oats! Using the quick-cooking oats and soaking them overnight allows them to blend into a super-creamy smoothie.
Oats are a nutritional powerhouse, and in this smoothie I’ve combined them with organic spinach and plant-based protein powder (or you could use cocoa powder*, which some research shows may have an antioxidant effect). to . Using sugar-free chocolate chips also helps to tamper sugar cravings and, of course, adds to the deliciousness-factor!
Additionally, this recipe is made with 100% whole grains and provides a good source of fiber with the combination of oats and spinach!
I hope that this series of Quaker Oat-based recipes has shown you just how versatile oats can be. I use them in breakfasts, snacks, sweet or savory recipes and even beverages.
