Creamiest Pumpkin Spice Latte with Wildcrafter Botanicals |

(This post is sponsored by Wildcrafter Botanicals, but all opinions are my own.)
When I first heard of Wildcrafter Botanicals, I thought it was too good to be true. Coffee in pod/K-Cup form, which is also ethically conscious and infused with amazing healing botanical ingredients? There had to be a catch...
Except, there wasn’t! The truth is, I am officially smitten with this product, and I'm so excited to share it with my community!
Wildcrafter Botanicals was founded by Tieraona Low Dog, M.D., a physician, herbalist, educator, entrepreneur and more, who has worked alongside some of the best integrative health leaders in the country, such as Andrew Weil, M.D. Dr Low Dog has practiced and studied the healing benefits of high-quality botanical ingredients and adaptogenic herbs most of her life, and she wanted to find a way to integrate them into everyone’s favorite daily drink: Coffee! The idea to put her coffee elixirs in single-serving K-Cup form is nothing short of genius, and she also made sure to use compostable liners with recyclable plastic containers.
Not only are these coffee blends organic, fair-trade and sustainably-sourced, they are also absolutely delicious. Wildcrafter offers four blends: Energy, Defend, Focus and Calm (decaf). I've tried them all, and each has its own lovely nuanced flavor, as well as specific botanical profile. For example, Energy includes Lion's Mane, Rhodiola Root & Maca Root. Dr Low Dog ensures that you'll receive the most potent benefits from these botanicals by extracting from whole plants, instead of a single compound. I also love how the company discloses the exact number of milligrams per cup, so you can know exactly how much you're consuming. The Wildcrafter website is a fantastic resource for information about each of the plants they use, so you can tailor your blend choice to any specific health needs.
If you're like me, you might be concerned about tasting botanicals in your morning java. Don't worry! I promise you won't. The only ingredient I notice is a hint of Maca in the Energy blend described above, but it actually adds a nice "malty" flavor. Otherwise, all four Arabica-bean coffees are rich and robust, without any bitterness or "burnt" tastes that you'll find with other brands.
So on that note, let's turn to the recipe I made using Wildcrafter coffee. Oh my gosh! How have I been running LL Balanced for 6 years without giving y'all a Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe?! Well, hopefully this will make up for lost time, because it is absolutely divine! The texture is satiny-silky and oh-so-creamy because of the pumpkin puree, cream (or coconut milk) and almond butter. These ingredients also add healthy fat and micronutrients, so this coffee can even substitute for a light breakfast or snack between meals! While I used the Defend blend, you can play around with your favorite pod, and you can also enjoy it hot or cold. We're still in the 90s here in Nashville, so I've been loving this with lots of ice as an indulgent but nourishing way to start the day!
