Chewy Gingersnap Bites & Thrive Market |
Three and a half years ago.
That's when I started LL Balanced. That's when I hunkered down in my studio apartment with a cup of almond-milky tea and wrestled with WordPress to create my first website.
When I sat back and looked at my blinking blank homepage, I made a few promises to myself:
1) That my website would always be recipe-centric. I could write about whatever I wanted (although rarely do I stray from food), but I would always share a recipe within a post.
2) That I would never affiliate with a company, unless I 100% believed in it and felt completely aligned with it's fundamental goals and values.
I stayed true to these promises, enjoying the clarity and simplicity that came with them. However, I am finally in a position to create relationships with companies I am truly a fan of. While I continue to offer a recipe with every single post that I write, I hope you will find it useful to hear about some of the products & companies that I support and utilize.
Starting with....THRIVE MARKET!
Thrive Market is essentially Whole Foods meets Costco, but online. It offers wholesale prices for most of the health food products, ingredients and speciality goodies I love...as in, up to 50% off store-bought prices (!). Free shipping is automatic after $49, which is easy to spend, especially if you plan ahead. It's a $60 yearly membership, which pays for itself after just a few orders.
I honestly don't remember how I found out about Thrive Market, but I was sold when I discovered my favorite kale chips there. These are one of my snacking indulgences, but they are pricey. Finding them at such a discount made me jump for food-nerd joy! Soon after, I found myself comparing prices of many of my usual purchases, and Thrive had them all beat.
Over a year later, I am a dedicated Thrive Market customer, and it has made my life so much easier. My orders arrive promptly right outside my door, and I love knowing that they're boxes are 100% recyclable. Perhaps best of all, with every new membership, Thrive donates a membership to a low-income family teach, veteran or student.
I am thrilled to be a Thrive affiliate, and I encourage you to check them out, by clicking any Thrive links on my website. I'll be totally honest: I do receive a commission if you sign up through my links. But I hope that you trust my genuine recommendation and belief that Thrive will making healthy eating easier and more affordable for you as well.
Last but not least....THESE Chewy Gingersnap Bites! Y'all know the deal by now—made from nutritious whole foods, ridiculously easy to make, healthy as all get-out and perfect for this time of year! In addition to being a great pre or post-workout snack, dessert or even light breakfast (I'd suggest 2), they make an awesome holiday gift. And of course, I got some of the ingredients from Thrive Market, including the molasses and juicy Medjool dates!
I want YOUR feedback! What do you think about my new affiliate relationship with Thrive? Any questions? I'll be sharing my favorite products of theirs soon, so stay tuned!
