Ancient Nutrition Snickerdoodle Latte |

It’s still wild to me that I didn’t drink coffee for almost SIX years. Prior to that, I had been a multi-cup per day kinda gal, loving every minute of it.
I didn’t stop because of a caffeine addiction (bring it on!); I stopped because I was trying to find the underlying cause of pesky rash that appeared all over my cheeks and nose. Hence, an elimination protocol, which also included gluten, dairy and processed food.
Well, I finally discovered that my rash was simply caused by New York City-level dry skin. A good reminder that not everything is related to food! However, by that time, I’d become so caffeine-sensitive, I could barely drink green tea without getting the shakes.
Fast-forward 6 years, and I am in the happiest, healthiest place of my life, which is what prompted me to give coffee another try. Indeed, my instinct was correct! I don’t know why exactly, but I can enjoy my daily java again without insomnia and excessive sweating (lovely image, I know).
Since that first glorious sip a few months ago, I have been having a BLAST experimenting with different coffee combos, and Ancient Nutrition has made it even more fun!
I bragged about Ancient Nutrition products in my Keto Chocolate Granola recipe, where I used their Chocolate Multi Collagen Protein (MCP) to create a decadent but nutrient-dense ‘nola. All of the Ancient Nutrition MCPs come from non-GMO, grass-fed, hormone/cage/cruelty free sources, and they contain FIVE different types of collagen! I dunno about you, but I haven’t seen that in any other collagen brands on the market. I’m also obsessed with their Cucumber Lime MCP and Beauty Within Watermelon Basil in my Daily Morning Elixir.
But for my coffee, the classic Vanilla MCP is my absolutely favorite, particularly in this Snickerdoodle Latte!
Oh my lanta, y’all, this latte tastes like dessert in a cup! Plus, the combination of high-quality food-sourced protein and healthy fats from almond butter and creamer makes it soooo filling and satisfying. If you’re someone who doesn’t wake up hungry, this is a lovely beverage to enjoy throughout the morning until your first meal!
The Snickerdoodle vibes come from a dreamy combination of vanilla and cinnamon, but if you really want to feel like you’re drinking a cookie, add a dash of cream of tartar (the ingredient that makes snickerdoodle taste like snickerdoodle). I’ve also included an option to use chai tea instead of coffee, which is equally delicious and may be a better bet for my caffeine-sensitive babes. You could even make this with your favorite herbal coffee, if you prefer, and you could have it at night as a pre-bed treat!
The best part? You can make this in advance and heat it up the next morning (just whisk in any foam you see on top), so you’re ready to take on the day in less than 5 minutes.
