INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/4 cups raw pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups medjool dates pitted
  • 1/4 cup raw rolled oats gluten-free
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract I used Frontier brand
DIRECTIONS
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until ingredients are the texture of sand and you can pinch a small amount together and it will stick. Empty your dough into a bowl.
  2. Keeping a bowl of lukewarm water by your side, roll dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place on a plate or in a Tupperware container, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before enjoying.

    As soon as I saw this recipe I wanted to try them! But…it’s freezing and icy in Toronto and I didn’t want to go to the grocery store, so I substituted walnuts for the pecans and added some organic unsweetened fine coconut instead of the cinnamon. They are absolutely divine! This recipe was so simple and easy to follow. I will be making these again and again. Next time I’ll try them as you suggested. Thanks for sharing!
